The Algerian Society of Orthodontics (SAO), founded on November 8, 2011, is a learned society emanating from the Algerian University. Its main objective is to promote and develop orthodontics and dento-facial orthopaedics at the national level.

In addition to its commitment in Algeria, the SAO works for an international visibility, by developing collaborations with learned societies, universities and orthodontic experts around the world. This opening allows an enriching scientific exchange and contributes to the evolution of orthodontic practices in Algeria.
